That down time is so important.....sightseeing is one thing but when you throw in all those activities it leaves little room to just enjoy. Back to the real world now....

I know the feeling. I'm going on vacation in three days, and I have more activities packed into the first three days than in a typical month at home. I'm excited and prematurely exhausted all at once. Thankfully I did the smart thing this year and took an extra day off work after I get back...sometimes you need a vacation from your vacation.

Yes agree to all.....my plan next time to hawaii is the north shore beaches on Oahu.
Real people...fantastic beaches...great scenery..... no mass line ups.

I hear you.
I can do without seeing it all though.
I'm all for a relaxed pace when traveling.

Absolutely. Last year we drove all the way up from Rome Italy to Venice. It was nice seeing the Coliseum in Rome, The Leaning Tower, Florence, etc. but my favorite part was three days where we stayed at a resort on the shore of the largest lake in Italy (Lake Garda) and we just read, and I swam a bit and we just did NOTHING!, (Looking a lot the way you guys look in your photo here.
